Haines Junction, along the Yukon portion of the Alaska Highway, is not a big town, but that far north, any community large enough to have a gas station is a cause for celebration(and if it has a bakery, all the better!). From the junction, vehicles can drive south into the Alaskan town of Haines or either north or east along the Alaska Highway(towards the Alaskan town of Tok or the Yukon city of Whitehorse, respectively)

Our Lady of the Way church is located in Haines Junction, and was built out of whatever was available. Dating from… actually, I’ll let the sign in front of the church explain it.

There’s not much else to say- this was just a brief stop on my trip to Dawson City(the long way around). The structure of the church is very unique looking, and, in my opinion, did a good job of reusing extra materials from the Alaska highway. I never had a chance to go inside, but took a few photos of the church from the outside.
